It’s been said that IQ can never measure the heart of a man.
Character Over Book Smarts
People mistakenly believe that you have to be incredibly intelligent or organized to successfully homeschool your children. What some fail to see is that one of the real measures of successful homeschooling is being able to impart a healthy mindset and worldview to those under your tutelage.
Our goal as parents is to raise emotionally healthy, hard-working, productive and God honoring young people. I think this quote sums it up well, don’t you?
“There were no sex classes. No friendship classes. No classes on how to navigate a bureaucracy, build an organization, raise money, create a database, buy a house, love a child, spot a scam, talk someone out of suicide, or figure out what was important to me. Not knowing how to do these things is what messes people up in life, not whether they know algebra or can analyze literature.”
